Ronald Rolheiser, a Roman Catholic priest, is the General Councillor for Canada for his order, the Missionary
Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Fr. Rolheiser has offices in both Toronto and Rome.
Rolheiser received a PhD from the University of Louvain, Belgium in 1983. Jis areas of specialisation are
Systemantic Theology (Trinity, World Religions, Christian Anthropology), Philosophy (Ancient and Medieval, Symbolism, Existentialism), Augustine, Mysticism
(especially John of the Cross and Therese of Lisieux) and Spirituality (contemporary spiritualities, contemport questions: ecology,
feminism, masculine spirituality, religion and culture).
For most of his 26 years of priesthood, Rolheiser taught theology and philosophy at Newman Theological College in
Edmunton, Alberta. Rolheiser is a popular speaker, retreat director and author.
